In today’s extremely scrappy, low-battery video, I just wanted to say something simple: you are already far more capable than you think you are.
Most of voice work isn’t about adding something new — it’s about releasing all the habits, tensions, fears, and patterns that hide the version of you that already exists.
When someone comes into coaching or a workshop, the work isn’t “teaching them how to be someone else.” It’s almost always:
find the version of you that’s already there, and let them out.
In this video, I explore:
• Why your best voice already exists beneath your habits
• How tension + masking can hide your real capabilities
• Why voice training is more about uncovering than learning
• The surprising power of simply showing up
• Why you’re probably much more capable than you think
Chapters:
00:00 – A tiny late-night reminder before my phone dies
00:12 – You’re more capable than you think
00:48 – Why voice work is mostly “uncovering”
01:16 – Letting go of the idea you need to be someone else
01:44 – Scrappy outro + battery panic
If you feel like you’re not capable of something — speaking boldly, performing, expressing yourself, being seen — trust me: you can. I’ve seen it hundreds of times.
